In Tokyo, the reckless single mother Keiko moves to a small apartment with her twelve years old son Akira Fukushima and hidden in the luggage, his siblings Kyoko, Shigeru and Yuki. The children have different fathers and do not have schooling, but they have a happy life with their mother. When Keiko finds a new boyfriend, she leaves the children alone, giving some money to Akira and assigning him to take care of his siblings. When the money finishes, Akira manages to find means to survive with the youngsters without power supply, gas or water at home, and with the landlord asking for the rental.

After an international auto theft sting, a dimwitted detective Do Chul is treated at a nightclub where he meets Tae Oh, the tyrannical heir to an untouchable mega-corporation, whose rude behavior rubs Do Chul the wrong way.

As the project was in development with an idea of an “infectious song (Densen-Uta)”, one of the staff called out…”There was a real Densen-Uta!” He discovers on the internet of a song back in 1933, Hungary, which caused mysterious deaths of many people. When Anzu Natsuno hears a hauntingly beautiful song come from the lips of a girl who just moments later commits suicide on her schools premises, she begins to look deeper into her school and the song. Meanwhile, Takashi, an editor at a B-grade subculture magazine, hears a rumor about a song that will cause its listeners to die. In half disbelief, he looks into the truth. But when Takashi runs across Anzu in his persuit, the two step closer towards the shocking truth.

One day, Wang Han is made leader of group gymnastics at his school but is told he must first get a new white shirt; reluctantly, his mother uses valuable clothes coupons to buy the material. Then, playing by the river, Wang Han has his new shirt stolen by a man on the run. The fugitive, who uses it to staunch his wounds, turns out to be Juehong's elder brother, Xie Fulai. He promises Wang Han that one day he'll replace the shirt, as long as the boy doesn't reveal where he's hiding.
